You can create a new account from any of the Insight companies imported into your Salesforce account. Note that imported companies may not necessarily be associated with an Insight project. 

The information displayed on the Salesforce company details page is imported from the Insight company listing. When you select a company to be an account, the company information is imported into the New Account page for review and editing.  

Note: Not all fields from the Insight company listing may be present in your Salesforce version of the company. Additionally, there may be fields in the listing that are specific to your company. For more information, contact your system administrator.

    Creating a new account

    To create a new account,

    With the company listing displayed in your Salesforce account, click Create Account.

    Result: The New Account window is displayed showing the company information imported into the listing.

    You can review the information and edit certain fields. Additionally, there may be fields that are specific to your company that require input. To continue, see Allowing automatic account information updates and Editing account information in the next sections.

    Allowing automatic account information updates

    You can select to have account updates automatically imported into the listing by ConstructConnect

    To allow automatic updates, 

    • select Yes for the Allow Automatic Future Updates to this Account by ConstructConnect? option. Note that the default value is No.

    Editing account information

    The New Account window lets you review the company information and modify certain sections. Make sure to click Save after you are finished changing any information. 

    Notes:

    • Fields marked in red are required. 
    • Any information specific to your company is not described in this section.

    Account Information

    NameThe name of the company. You can change this value or edit the name.

    Insight Company Detail URLThe link to the company details in Insight. This requires a valid account for Insight.
    Additional Information

    The full range of information for the account. For information about the fields in this section, contact your Salesforce representative.
