Selection of Existing Items, and Allowing Multiple Properties on Multiple Cells

The Select Existing Item utility option is an especially powerful feature that allows you to assign other properties to takeoffs to save you time in preparing your estimates. For example, after you create an area takeoff, the Select Existing Item option allows you to utilize that area item as a linear item by using and displaying its linear property value. A flooring area takeoff, for instance, can also be utilized as a takeoff for the ceiling crown molding linear item by using the perimeter properties of the flooring area. The same could be applied to, say, baseboard molding, which is also linear.

Note that values taken from other properties in an Excel workbook will not appear in PlanSwift. For instance, if you do a takeoff for a flooring area and then use it to determine the ceiling perimeter, the flooring area will be in PlanSwift, but the ceiling perimeter will only appear in the Excel WorkBook.
