Legacy Duct ShopData Plasma Connect

The QuoteSoft Duct program has the ability to export ShopData files. This process will allow you to export a single zone or an entire job with the click of a button.

Prerequisites

  1. QuoteSoft Duct 3.14 or newer
  2. Unlock BIM feature in Duct
  3. Unlock necessary feature in ShopData

Things to Keep in Mind

Exporting Duct and Fittings to ShopData

The export function has a similar feature to running reports. Both features allow users to filter out undesired job items or sections through the Selection Wizard. A single file can either contain a whole zone or a single subzone. During takeoff it will be important to properly label Subzone, Phase, System, and/or Area to ensure the proper filter can be applied during the export.

Catalog Items

As of this time Catalog items cannot be exported to ShopData. An accessory item would need to be created in QXP for any commonly used catalog items you would like to export to SDS.
