I. Setup the Labor to be used for Duct Assembly

  1. Seam Assembly

    1. Within Central Data navigate to Data File and then Seams

    2. Select the Seam to see the Assembled Labor in the lower display

    3. Use the Export and Import buttons to open the labor in excel and modify

  2. Seam Seal Labor

    1. Within Central Data navigate to Data File and then Seam Sealants

    2. Validate the Feet / Hr listed is the correct labor factor

    3. Select the Seam Sealant and use the Edit button above to modify if desired

  3. Joint Attach Labor

    1. Within Central Data navigate to Data File and then Joints and Sealants to get to the Rect Joints

    2. Select the Joint within the list to see the Joint Attach labor in the lower display

    3. Use the Export and Import buttons to open the labor in excel and modify

  4. Reinforcement Rod Attach Labor

    1. Within Central Data navigate to Data File and then Reinforcements to get to the Rods

    2. The attach labor for the Rods is set up by the size of duct item (72, 96, 120, etc)

    3. Select the Rod and use the Edit button above to modify the labor if desired

  5. Reinforcement Angle Attach Labor

    1. Within Central Data navigate to Data File and then Reinforcements to get to the Angles

    2. The attach labor for the Angles is listed in Feet / Hr

    3. Select the Angle and use the Edit button above to modify the labor if desired

II. Exposing the Assembled Option in Job File

  1. Open Configuration and click on the Central Options tab on the left

  2. Check the option to allow Pricing Adjustments

    1. It is not required to set up and use the Pricing Adjustments, just to enable the feature

  3. Click on the System tab on the left

  4. In the Job File section, the new Job Costing Display options will appear

  5. Check the option for Assembled Options

    1. Default to Assembled is typical

  6. Click Save Changes to close the Configuration window

III. Use the Assembled Option in Job File

Create a job and a zone and select and accept rectangular duct

  1. Ensure that the sizing is large enough to include the components validated above

Return to the Job File

Within the Job Info palette and the Job Costing section, the Assembled option will be displayed

Uncheck the option and click Recalc Totals
