Working with the Project Details Page

The project details page contains all of the available information for a project listing:

Note that the above example shows all the sections closed. Click on the section name to expand the section. 

 

This section contains the following topics: 


Reordering the sections 

You can change the order of the category sections to any order that you prefer. The order you select remains in effect until you change it again, including when you log out and log back in again. 

 To reorder the sections,

  • drag the sections to the desired location.

Using the Actions menu

The Actions menu at the top of the listing gives you options for working with the project listing:  

The following table describes the options for working with the project listing.

Export to PDF

You can export all of the details of the project listing in PDF format.

TipClick to see a short video demonstrating how to export a project.

To export project details in PDF format,

Result: Your export runs and is available by clicking on the message at the top right of the window and by clicking Exports from the sidebar menu.

Add to Watch List

Select to add or remove the project from your Watch List project

 

Remove from Watch List

View

Select so that the project listing is shaded gray in all future searches.

Unview

Select so that the project listing appears to have not been viewed in all future searches.

Hide

Select to remove the project from appearing in all future searches.

Unhide

Select so that the project appears in all future searches.

Assign to User

Use to assign projects to yourself or to other users in your company as described in the section for Personal Notes.

Add to CRM Export

Click to add or remove the project from the CRM export schedule. For more information on using this feature, see CRM Information and Guides.

Share

Click to share the project details with other professionals in your trade. For more information, see Using Project Share.

Click the arrows to move either to the previous or the next project in the search results.

Understanding the project overview 

The overview section at the top of the page contains basic information about the project, as described in the following table.

Description

CRM

The folder icon indicates that the project is selected for CRM integration. For more information, see CRM Information and Guides.

Watch List projects

The star icon indicate that the project is a Watch List project. For more information, see Working with your Watch List projects.

Project Name

The name of the project.

Project ID #

The CMD number for the project.

Search tags

Indicates that the project meets the criteria of a tagged search. To set up tags for searches, see the steps for tagging searches in Saving a project search.

Project Type

The category for the project.

Address

The physical address and county for the project.

County

Architect

When present, lists the architect of record for the project. Click on the name to display the company details for the listing. For more information, see Using the company details page.

Documents Available

When available, lists the type of documents available for the project, and can include plans, specifications and addenda. The plan holder name and company page link can also be listed.

Last Updated

The date of the last update to the project record.

View All Updates

When present, click to open the Update History menu for the project to view the dates and summaries of all updates listed in reverse chronological order.

Using the project map

The project map at the top of the page displays the exact location of the project:

To use the map,

  • click anywhere on the map to open the project location in a new window using Google Maps™ mapping service.

Understanding the project summary  

The project summary displays the values and the stage of the project, as described in the following table.

The monetary value for the project, which is listed above the dollar figure and can be one of the following:

  • Confirmed - The value is confirmed by the project source.

  • Staff Estimate - The value is estimated by our research department.

Stage

The current stage of the project.

Bid Date

The bid date for the project.

Project Description

The Project Description section includes the scope of the project and any notes about the project, such as New Construction or Site Work.  

Additional Details

The Additional Details section contains more in depth information about the project, as described in the following table.

Listed On

The Universal Time Coordinate (UTC) time that the project is first entered into Leads.

Stage Comments 1

Any comments about the current stage of the project, such as Working Drawings Completed.

Stage Comments 2

Single Trade Project

Projects that include only one trade.

Parent Project ID

When present, indicates that the project has multiple bid dates and contracts, and that there is another version of the project.

Work Type

Displays the type of work for the project:

  • All Work Types

  • New

  • Addition

  • Addition/Alteration

  • Alteration

Owner Type

The type of owner for the project:

  • City

  • Federal

  • Private

  • State

  • County

Start Date

The date that work on the project is expected to begin.

Site Area

The total square feet of the project area.

Units

The total number of buildings included in the project.

Contract Type

The type of contract for the project:

  • Open Bid

  • Invited Bidders

  • Prequalified Bidders

  • Negotiated

Invitation #

The invitation number for the project, if listed.

Structures

The number of structures in a project, such as individual apartment buildings in an apartment complex.

Floors

The total number of floors above grade.

Floor Area

The total internal square feet of the project.

Floors Below Grade

The total number of floors that are below the grade of the project first floor.

LEED Certification Intent

Displays the LEED Certification Intent for a project, which can be one of the following:

  • Silver

  • Gold

  • Platinum

  • Certified

  • Unknown

Note: This value is blank when the project is not LEED certified. For more information, see Understanding the LEED-Registered Projects.

Mandatory Pre Bid Conference

Lists the date and time of the mandatory pre-bid conference, when present.

Design Team

The Design Team section lists the design companies responsible for the project. Information includes the role the company is playing on the project, the company name, the contact name and phone and email for the contact. Status indicators show if the company is an active or inactive participant on the project. 

Project Events

The Project Events section displays a list of key events for the project. Included is the event name, the date of the event and a brief description. The following are the event types that can be included in the list: 

  • Start Date

  • End Date

  • Bid Date

  • Pre-Meeting or Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference

  • Site Walkthrough or Mandatory Walkthrough

  • Request for Qualification - RFQ

  • Request for Proposal - RFP

  • Plans Available

  • Bids Open

  • Municipal Meeting

  • Filed Sub-Bid

Project Participants

The Project Participants section contains the names and contact information of the non-bidding companies participating in the project.  Note that you can view the details page for a participating company by clicking on the company name.

The project participants list contains the following information about companies playing a role on the project:

  • Company Name

  • Company Role

  • Contact Name

  • Street Address

  • Phone

  • Email

Notes:

  • A blue star

    next to the company name indicates that the company is in your Watch List. For more information, see Working with your Watch List Companies

  • To see more project participants, click More at the bottom of the section.

  • Click Export at the top of the section to export the list as an Excel spreadsheet.

Prospective Bidders

The Prospective Bidders section contains the information about the companies bidding on the project, including company contact information, bidding role, rank, and value, and a link to the company details page for the company. Status indicators show if the company is an active or inactive participant on the project. 

Note: Click Export to download the bidders list as a formatted Excel spreadsheet.

The name of the company and company contact, the date the company was added to the project record as bidder, and the address, phone, and email for the company.

The bid role the company is playing on the project, such as General Contractor.

Bid Rank

The place in the bidding held by the company, beginning with 1 as the highest.

Bid Value

The value of the bid.

Planholders

The Planholders section lists the companies that hold project documents from the plan issuing authority. Planholders do not necessarily have a full set of project documents and are not necessarily bidding on the project. Status indicators show if the company is an active or inactive participant on the project. 

Working with Project Share

The Project Share feature lets you share relevant projects with your network of subcontractors, independent reps, and distributors, and even non-subscribers. Once you share a project, the details of the project are sent in an email to the contacts you select. Once a project is shared, you can see which recipients have viewed the project, including the date and time the project was viewed.

Note: The fields in the Project Share menu contain the following information:

  • Name - the email address of the recipient. Note that you can click on the email address to send an email to the recipient.

  • Date Sent - the date the project was shared.

  • Last Viewed - the most recent date that the recipient viewed the project.

Result: Your export is created and automatically saved to your PC.To export the full list of recipient names and the export dates and times in Excel format.

Buyer Activity Report (BAR)

The BAR provides information about contractors in your trade that are interested in the project. Derived from product activity, the BAR identifies those contractors most likely to submit bids and qualify for the project.

Included is the activity volume for individual contractors, the associated company name, the contractors’ phone and email, the report’s data source, and the contractor’s business type, trade and the most recent activity. Activity is presented at three levels, from low to high involvement with the project.

Note: The BAR is an add-on feature and may not be part of your subscription. Contact your sales representative for more information.

To export BAR details, 

  • Click Export to export the details of the BAR in Excel format.

The following table describes the sections of the BAR.

Field

Description

Activity Level

The number of squares indicates the activity level for the contractor. A New next to the listing indicates that the reported activity is new since you last viewed the project.

Contact

The contact performing the activity on the project currently displayed. This value is only displayed when the contact shares at least one of your preferred trades as specified in your profile.

Company Name

The company associated with the contact. Clicking on the company name displays the full contact and background information, and the trades associated with the company.

Source

The data source for the listing.

Phone

The telephone number for the contact.

Email

The email address for the contact. Clicking on the address opens an email to the contact.

Business Type

The type of business for the contact, such as Subcontractor or Other.

Trades

Only the trades that match the trades selected in your profile are displayed. Hovering your mouse over this section displays the full list of trades for the company.

Last Active

The most recent date of activity for the contractor influencing the BAR.

Material Demand by RSMeans

The Material Demand section lets you see a list of those materials and associated costs that are estimated to be used in the project. This information is derived using RSMeans construction cost estimating data and is listed by MasterFormat Division, and includes bare material cost, labor and equipment cost, total cost, and a description of the materials used. The total cost of all materials required is shown at the bottom of the section. For more information about Material Demand, see Material Demand FAQs.

Note You can filter projects by materials using the Filters menu from your search results. 

You can choose between two options for viewing materials for the project:  

  • Show selected divisions only - This shows  the materials you selected in the Filters menu on the project results page, or both.

  • Show all materials - Use this option when you want to see all the materials estimated for the project. For more information, see Filtering the project list.

  •  Click Export to download the material list as a formatted Excel spreadsheet.

The following table describes the fields in the Material Demand section of the project results page.

The Divisions you selected as part of your search.

Material Cost

The bare material costs, with no other associated costs.

Labor & Equipment Cost

The bare material cost plus the costs associated with labor and equipment.

Total Material Demand

The total of the bare material and the labor & equipment costs.

Materials

The materials included in the Division line.

Contracts

The Contracts section lists the contracts that are currently associated with the project. Not all projects have the full range of contract information present, as described in the following table.
