Rectangular Duct Coil Line Options

For rectangular coil line duct, the seam and joint can be applied during the coil line process. This article will describe how to modify the duct options to take advantage of this.

I. Overview of the Options

1. Enable Coil Line options for Straight Duct

   1. Checking this option will use the Coil Line labor rate for standard length duct

   2. This option will also enable the additional options below

2. Fabricate Seam on Duct

   1. If the coil line process manufactures the seam on the duct (Pittsburgh and or Snaplock for example) then checking this option will not include additional labor to form the seam

3. Install Seam Sealant on Duct

   1. Same as above, if the coil line process applies the seam sealant then checking this option will not include additional seam sealant labor

4. Fabricate Joint on Duct

   1. Same as above, if the coil line process forms the joint on the ends of the duct panels then checking this option will not include the additional joint fabrication time
