Working with Your Watch List Projects

The Watch List feature let you follow projects for any status changes and future development. You can access your Watch List projects at any time to view project changes, set up bid date reminders and alerts, and export a list of your Watch List projects in a range of formats. You can also verify which projects have been assigned to your account.
Note: You can add projects to your Watch List from both your project search results and from an individual project listing.

Adding projects to your Watch List
You can add projects to your Watch List from the project results list and from the project details page. A solid blue star next to a project in a list or in the header of the project details page indicates that the project is in your Watch List:
Adding projects
To add projects to your Watch List, click one of the following:
- The star next to a project in a list
- The star at the top of the project list page
- The star at the top of the project details page
Removing projects
To remove projects from your Watch List,
- Click the star again to remove the Watch List status.
Note: For company administrators, the Assign Users feature on the project search results page lets you add projects to the Watch List of your company users. For more information, see the section for Assigning projects to users on the Working with the project list page.
Accessing your Watch List projects
To access your Watch List projects,
- click Watch List from the menu on the left side of the page:
Result: The Watch List window window displays all of the projects you have selected to follow for future development:

Using the Watch List window options
The options at the top of the window let you perform a variety of tasks with your Watch List projects, as described in the following table.

Selecting projects for email updates
You can have alerts sent to your email address each time there is an update to a Watch List project.
Note: The alert box on the project line turns blue when there is an alert set for the project:
To add or removed update alerts
- Click the lightening icon either
- on the line for the project or
- at the top of the page to select all projects in the list.
- Repeat the above to remove projects from email updates.
Setting up bid date alerts
You can set up bid date alerts for any of your Watch List projects. These alerts are sent to your email address for a specified number of days before a project goes to bid.
To set bid date alerts,
- click the calendar icon next to the project listing or
- click the calendar icon at the column to select all your Watch List projects.
Note: The bid date alert box on the project line turns blue when the alert is active:
- From the top right of the window, select the number of days before the bid date for the alert:
Result: The bid date alert is active for the specified date for all the selected projects.
Note: To remove projects from bid date alerts, click the calendar icon on the project line or click the calendar icon at the top of the column to remove the alert from all of your Watch List projects.
Understanding the Watch List column values
The Watch List projects page contains detailed information about each of your projects, which you can select to customize your view.
About cancelled and postponed projects: Cancelled and postponed projects are not included in your project search results. However, when project in your Watch List becomes cancelled or postponed, the project then appears as either Project cancelled or Project Postponed in the stage category list. See Understanding cancelled and postponed projects in the following section for more information about this class of projects. |
The following table describes the column values in the Watch List projects window.
Field | Description |

Project ID | The ConstructConnect number for the project. |
Search Tags | Displays any search tags associated with the project. For more information about search tags, see Saving a project search. |
City | The physical location of the project. |
State / Province | |
Value | The value of the project. |
Stage | U.S. and Canadian construction data is mapped to a single common standard, the North American Standard Data (NASD) format. The following lists both project stage and the corresponding substages:

Bid Date | The bid date and bid date time for the project. |
Bid Time | |
Assigned By | The user assigning the project to the account. |
Assigned Date | The date the project is assigned. |
Personal Notes | Any notes on the project added by you or someone you share the project with. |
Understanding cancelled and postponed projects
Projects that are categorized as cancelled and postponed are no longer actively followed by the ConstructConnect Research Department. Projects that you are following in your Watch List can change status to cancelled or postponed. However, cancelled and postponed projects do not appear in your project search results.
A project is cancelled or postponed depending on the parent and sub- stage of the project, as described in the following table.
