E. Data File - Wrap

The Wrap section of the Data File is separated by type, Rectangular and Round. Each type can have the same wrap name, but the cost and labor factors can be different so they are setup separately.

Setup Data can be any “exterior treatment” to the duct, pipe and fittings such as wrap, paint, hard-board, powder coat, etc. The listed wraps can be applied during takeoff. Wraps can be specified as a default to be  automatically used per pressure file. Wraps can also be limited per pressure file.

The name and the thickness of the Wraps are critical to be the same as you will select the wrap by the name in Takeoff and the program will use the outer dimensions and the thickness in calculating the required number of square feet. There are no limits to the number of Wraps you can have setup.

Wrap Setup

Click New, Edit or Duplicate to modify the wrap information.

Name - The name or term you use for the wrap.

Price Per Square Foot - The total cost of the wrap per square foot including the tape, tie wire, etc.

Duct Scrap - The amount of scrap created in wrapping straight duct.

Fitting Scrap - The amount of scrap created in wrapping fittings.

Thickness - The thickness of the wrap.

Duct Labor - The number of square feet of wrap per hour that is used in wrapping straight duct.

Fitting Labor - The number of square feet of wrap per hour that is used in wrapping fittings.
