B. Takeoff - Toolbar

The Toolbar has all the common needed markup tools for plan file annotation. The markup tools will be saved on the plan file just like duct items. They will also be saved to an image when needed.

Arrow Tool – use the arrow tool select items on the plan file. The same tool can be used by hitting ESC key on the keyboard.

Zoom to Region – click and drag a box around an area to zoom in on that area

Center at Mouse – will move the plan file to center at your mouse click

Magnify – click and hold to magnify an area without zooming in

Line – click and drag to draw a line. Uses the active color as the line color

Rectangle – click and drag to draw a rectangle. Uses the active color as the fill color. Double click to get area square feet and options to change line and fill color.

Ellipse - click and drag to draw a ellipse. Uses the active color as the fill color. Double click to get area square feet and options to change line and fill color.

Polyline – click each point of an odd shape to get the square feet area. Uses the active color as the fill color. Double click to get area square feet and options to change line and fill color.

Polygon - click each point of an odd shape, then double click to close the shape, to get the square feet area. Uses the active color as the fill color. Double click to get area square feet and options to change line and fill color.

Curve – to draw a curved line

Closed Curve – to draw and close a curved area. Uses the active color as the fill color. Double click to get area square feet and options to change line and fill color.

Arrow – click and drag to draw an arrow. Use the color palette to change the colors of the line.

Freehand - click and drag to freehand draw. Use the color palette to change the colors of the line.

Highlight – click and drag to draw a highlight area. No color options currently.

Text – click and drag to place a text box

Text Pointer – click and drag to place a text box with a pointer from it

Note - click and drag to place a note box

Redaction – click and drag to cover plan with white space

Ruler – click and drag to measure a distance

Continuous Ruler – click and continue clicking to get the distance along a broken line

Protractor – use for angles

Cross Product – use for distances on a cross like pattern
